New York Plans Men’s Fashion Week

In an interview to WWD, Steven Kolb, Chief Executive of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) suggested that New York could be staging its own dedicated menswear fashion week as early as the Summer of 2013. Discussions are currently being held with magazine editors, designers and fashion show production and publicity agency KCD to discuss the feasibility of such an event. With Milan andParis having had established menswear fashion weeks for years, and after Londonstaged two successful editions of London Collections: Men, New York is currently the only major fashion capital without a menswear showcase.
